Course introduction

Wilderness First-aid Workshop is a one day (8 hours long) experiential learning course. The program’s goals are to equip participants with the basic knowledge and skills of Wilderness Survival, Basic Concept of Wilderness Medicine and Basic Life Support (CPR included).

The program also will focus on common medical problems people will encounter in the wilderness setting. This course is intended for non-medical professionals such as people going on short trips (family group) or outdoor enthusiasts. It is the ideal choice for summer camp/family trip. Parents can attend the course with kids and improve their safety skills during trips and outdoor activities. The workshop is taught by WMAI certificated instructors, who share a lot of experience of patient caring and outdoor.
